A boy and his blankie
I've mentioned before that my boy loves his blankie...

Last weekend we brought Blankie outside and he showed it the back yard.

Last weekend we brought Blankie outside and he showed it the back yard.
He calls his blanket "Buh-tie." I'm not sure if he's saying "Blankie" or "Buddy."
One of his nicknames is buddy. Either is pretty cute.
I love that the little guy loves his Blankie so much!

School Picture
M's first school picture. My little easygoing explorer refused to be put down on picture day, so he had his taken in one of his teacher's arms. He looks very concerned in most of the shots. This is the happiest one, and it still makes me want to give him a cuddle!
Speaking of cuddles, I love that M is such a snuggly guy. He used to not stay still long enough to cuddle, but now he'll interrupt playtime for a hug!Tonight I got the best snuggle before dinner.
And finally, we have a standard bath/bed routine. We have dinner, bath, then he sits on mama's lap and has a bottle. After the bottle, he flips over and snuggles up with his head on my chest. Sometimes he falls asleep, but usually we just cuddle quietly for about 5 minutes. The sweetest 5 minutes of my day. Then I put him in his crib and he cozies up to blankie. On Sunday, we did the usual routine, but after we dressed him in his jammies J and I were chatting about the weekend. Apparently M got tired of waiting for his bottle, because he said, "Mama!" then started walking down the hall to his bedroom. It was the cutest thing seeing him toddle in his seep sack. He looked like Swee'Pea! We followed him down the hall and when he got to his room he went to the rocking chair and pointed up at the bottle that was waiting for him. I love that my baby is becoming a little boy!

This Moment
A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Inspired by SouleMama.

Pumpkins
On Sunday we went pumpkin picking with friends at a local farm. I met the moms and their daughters about a year ago at a new moms group. It's still amazing to me to think how much we've gone through over the past 12 months.
It was a perfect fall day. We went first thing in the morning, which was good, because by the time we left at 10:30am it was packed.
The kids are such buddies. Whenever they greet each other there are many smiles and much mutual nose beeping.
We went on a hayride to the pumpkin field. M sat on Daddy's lap and wasn't to sure of things.
But then he realized that they make good drums.

My Boys
M walked over to Daddy, said "Boo!" and then sat on his lap.
Melts my heart. I love my little talking toddler!

Sliding
This afternoon we went to the park. J and I took turns taking M down the slide on our laps. It was his first time on the slide and he loved it. I do love making that baby laugh!
